You earn different planets for different site activities.  The difficulty of achieving
certain site milestones increases as you get to planets which are closer to the Earth.

We have arranged the planets the way they align in the Universe.  Neptune is the
furthest planet from Earth, Mercury the closest.  Earning Neptune will be much
easier than earning Mercury.

You must attain 5 Achievement Levels per planet.  This rule applies to all planets but
Earth, Mercury, and Venus.  To earn these planets, you must win Poet of the Year,
Poet of the Quarter, and Poet of the Month.  But what if you don't win one of these
awards?

Fear not!  You may have noticed that we listed the Sun in our planet collection.  
However, even a 5th Grader knows that the Sun is not a planet, right?  Well, we
have 5 Bonus Elements that, if you earn them all, will gain you the Sun.  The Sun
can be used to replace a missing planet.  This will become important to you when
we begin to give out awards, prizes, certificates, and incentives.

For now, simply have fun and go out and capture a few planets as you post and

Earning Earth
         
 
    Earn Earth by becoming one of the Poets of the Year.
 
   
 
    
Earning Mercury
   
 
    
 
    Earn Mercury by becoming one of the Poets of the Quarter.
 
   
 
    
Earning Venus
   
 
    
 
    Earn Venus by becoming one of the Poets of the Month.
 
   
 
    
Earning the Sun:  The Elements Level
   
 
    
 
    Earning the Sun is a special honor, as you attempt to earn 5
    Bonus Elements.  The sun can then be counted as another
    planet.
 
   
 
    
 
    Earth --Recognition Award.  Achieve Level 15 for Poetry and
    Reviewer Experience Levels.  Your status is listed on your
    home page.
    
   
 
    
 
    Fire --Appreciation Award.  Refer 3 new members, who then
    become paid members, within a 60 day span of time to earn
    this Admin Award.
    
   
 
    
 
    Water--Review poems from the least reviewed poets list at
    least 200 times in a 90 day period.
    
   
 
    
 
    Wind--Review 500 poems from the New Release List only,
    within a 90 day period of time.
    
   
 
    
 
    Void--Review 500 poems from the Poetry Archives only, within
    a 90 day period of time.
    
   
 
    
Earning Mars:  The Community Builder Level
   
 
    
 
    Earning Mars is all about your stature in the Community.  This
    level is the only one that fluctuates.  So keep your rank!
 
   
 
    
 
    Be one of the Top 10 Community Builders, and earn Mars.  
    Drop from the Top 10 List, lose Mars!
    
   
 
    
 
    Be one of the Top 20 Community Builders.
    
   
 
    
 
    Be one of the Top 30 Community Builders
    
   
 
    
 
    Be one of the Top 40 Community Builders
    
   
 
    
 
    Be one of the Top 50 Community Builders
